Nakano is only one stop from Shinjuku station. Nakano has both a JR-line and Tokyo Metro, providing good access to everywhere in Tokyo, especially for the west side of Tokyo like Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya, etc.
Nakano itself is a very nice area with lots of restaurants and shops, so we hope you enjoy Nakano too!!
7-Eleven and Farm Do Supermarket, where you can find fresh and cheap veggies or food, are located within 10sec walk from Yadoya Guesthouse for Backpackers!

Tuesday one coin dinner
We prepare dinner every Tuesday at our guesthouse. It`s 500yen to join and the menu is always different. But we do Temaki Sushi almost once a month. Everyone is welcome for this event, so you can meet some local people as well. Please check next menu on our staff blog or facebook.
*Visit local Wadaiko (Japanese drum) practice
Our staff goes to practice with a local Wadaiko(Japanese drum) group almost every Sunday. We can take a few guests to see their practice. Also you can try to play drum if it`s not busy the season before the festival. Free of charge!
Japanese Calligraphy
A Japanese calligraphy teacher who can speak English will teach how to do it and you can make your own unique souvenir. 1000yen for 45min+you can have your own Calligraphy .
